FACULTY OF SOCIAL & POLITICAL SCIENCES (FISIP)
Faculty of Social and Political Sciences University of Muhammadiyah Malang which was originally named the Faculty of Social Welfare was established on July 11, 1968 as an afilial of the Faculty of Social Welfare, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta. Two years later (1970) it was transformed into the Faculty of Social Sciences (FIS), and at once began to detach from the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta. At that time, the FIS had just developed one department that was Department of Social Welfare with a registered status based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No.: 022/A/I/1975 dated April 16, 1975. The campus located on Jl. Bandung No. 1 Malang. Now all the lectures held on the campus of UMM III, Jl. Raya Tlogomas No. 246 Malang.
Currently FISIP UMM has five courses namely; Social Welfare, Communication Studies, Governmental Science, and International Relations. It also organizes an International Program, ACICIS (Australian Consortium for In Country Indonesian Studies).
